Old Maroon Rugby Mission Statement |
|
|
In partnership with Texas A&M University, The Old Maroon Rugby Football Club will:
• Restore and strengthen the relationship between rugby alumni and the current University club teams,
• Establish, restore and sustain connections among Aggie Rugby alumni, who now number more than 350,
• Financially and morally support and improve the rugby program at Texas A&M.
We intend to meet these objectives by:
• Expanding the Texas A&M Rugby Endowment Fund, Team Equipment/Travel Fund, and the Scholarship Fund to help support male and female varsity rugby players in financial need.
• Produce and sustain a newsletter and website to communicate with rugby alumni.
• Provide moral and financial support to maintain a competitive and integrated rugby program at Texas A&M in these challenging times.
• Promote the Texas A&M Rugby program, Old Maroon, and Reunions by organizing events for current players and alumni throughout the year.
• Build a network among the Old Maroon to provide job opportunities and business contacts for graduating players and temporarily unfortunate alumni members all over the world.
